Move Predictor

A chess engine I wrote in Rust, measured up to 2620 over 171 games against Stockfish. Make a move and it shows the three best next moves, and who is better after each one.

1. Make a move, or paste a FEN or PGN anywhere on the page.
2. Read the top three moves, each with the evaluation it leads to.
3. Click a move's arrow to play it, or press Play best.

The first visit takes a few seconds while the server wakes up.

backpressure

A change-data-capture pipeline you can break on purpose. Kill consumers, skew keys, drop the connector, and watch duplicates, lost records and replays happen.

1. Pick a scenario, or leave the pipeline running.
2. Break it: kill a consumer, drop the connector, skew the keys.
3. Watch lag, duplicates and lost rows show up in Correctness.

What time is this?

Paste an epoch number, a date or a MongoDB ObjectId and read it as a normal date. It also works backwards: any date to epoch or to an ObjectId you can query with.

Markdown viewer

Paste markdown on one side and read it rendered on the other. Tables, code blocks, task lists and LaTeX maths work. Up to 250,000 characters or a 1 MB file, and nothing leaves your browser.

Base64 and friends

Paste a string, press Encode or Decode. Base64, URL-safe Base64, hex, percent-encoding and HTML entities, plus a reader for the JWT you were about to paste somewhere else.

PDF editor

Open a PDF, click any line of text and type over it. The new words keep the size, colour and weight of the old ones. Up to 5 MB, and the file never leaves your browser.

Link shortener

Turn a long link into a short one, with a name you pick if you like. Add + to any short link to see where it goes before you open it. Links last 30 days.
